Young VS Old
December 7th 2007 03:56
With most NBA teams there are a good mix of youth and veterans present. But the Blazers have committed to their youth movement moving Zach Randolph at the draft and giving LaMarcus Aldridge the reigns as Greg Oden is out until next year, the top pick.
It is also great to see Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway back in an NBA uni. actually starting at SF, to give the Heat more depth and punch off the bench in Ricky Davis. Shaq is not ready to take over this year, w/ D-Wade coming into form.
Both teams struggling winning a combined 5 games out of their last 20 games played. Portland's one bright spot is they are winning at home. Both teams are getting routinely beat by all the top-flite teams in the NBA.
Miami is clearly Shaq and Wade and a few more if nothing else as they will win a round at best in the playoffs or narrowly miss them this year, with a fair amount of skepticism within. Compared to Portland which have a very balanced team bringing in alike players to their starters on the bench with interchangeable pieces in Przybilla and Frye at center, Webster and Outlaw at SF and Blake with Jack in the backcourt. They also have a lot of people no one talks about in McRoberts, Taurean Green, James Jones and coming back in a while D.Miles, the forgotten one.
After due considerations, I am figuring that Portland will win by a field goal, which means two points for you smart prognosticators out there. Take the points this time with Blazers at home.
PLUS 3.5 Portland Trail-Blazers to cover.

DucksSuck->Getting 3.5 in P-Town. Gimme my money. Go Blazers
JesusOne->Miami has had a really tough schedule lately which has made their struggles even worse. They'll pick it up tonight against a bad team. D-Wade will put up 30 .
BoKnows->Miami is falling apart at the seams. Orlando is Florida's team now!

BLAZERS win 112-106.
James Jones' coming out party?
Check back for Shaq's looming suspension, at least Joel didn't get hit in the Przybilla's...
Also I will preview and give my pick for tomorrow's Rap's @ Celt's matchup.
