Will the Red Rocket get minutes?
December 8th 2007 02:16
As a big Raptors fan, I am quite familiar with a 6'10" shooter in Matt Bonner. He was traded for the bloated contract with Eric Williams to the Spurs for Rasho Nesterovic. He was a fan favorite, but with the emergence of young big man IL MAGO in T.O., an outside shooter was not needed alongside Bosh. So long story short he was dubbed the Red Rocket on account of he hair color and long range shooting, he is just a hard working hustler.
I am of the mind that it is really bad if you are going to bet against your favorite team, even if you could win. As you can win the bet but your team loses or vice-versa. All bad news if you truly love your team. So I was not inclined to take the Celt's to beat my Raptors by -12. I was not seeing the raps losing by less than 12. So a good game tonight is the Jazz at Spurs.
Will or won't he? Duncan is 50/50 at the moment so I am betting on him not playing or at least not making a monster contribution.
Utah no doubt is solid with all five starters and Millsap off the bench. But they have had their troubles with San Antone, Boozer has faired well with his numbers being significantly lower and against the Spurs at home, forget about it.
Ginobli is a good bet to take a bunch of the scoring load in an absence of # 21. Not to mention that the Jazz are not as dominant on the road lastly losing to the Kings, giving up layup after easy basket. Also losing at the New York Knicks!
I am not sure why I keep selecting tough games to pick for this blog, but if it were easy ya'll wouldn't read and I wouldn't want to write it. Also JesusOne was wrong yesterday also, a trend? So here is my pick Spurs to win by three.
-1 San Antonio Spurs to win.

uncan or no Duncan, San Antonio showed that they can win without him against a good Dallas squad. Why not take them to win???

uncan is out for tonight. Utah should win easily.

#2 for me in a row.
A hard fought game for sure, some nervous moments with Jazz leading mostly. Spurs pull it out in the end 104-98. Truly unstoppable at home even without Timmy D. 2 for two.

And He's a Victorian!!! - Victoria's Sporting stars
Just something about betting against your own team. I have no problem doing it. Cash is king to a punter, cash feeds my family. In Australia my soccer team is the Melbourne Victory, they were champions last year but are having a poor year this year. I have been making great profits betting against them.
I would suggest that betting against your own team can be most profitable because you get to games see them live and see things that the TV just can't pick up such as off the ball running, the plays are clearer and you can see things such as is a player is being treated for an injury or notice his good work to get open being ignored by his teammates, a sure sign of internal friction which is the main issue at the Victory.
Keep up the streak mate!!!
