July 11th PICKS…

-Early lines have the Cubs being favored -140 to -160.
-Chicago obviously has the better record as the Giants continue to struggle to score runs.
-Statistically Chicago has a huge edge, scoring almost a run and a half more per game.
-Don’t be afraid to look at the under as the Giants Matt Cain has lost two of his last three but none have been higher than 8 runs allowed total.
-Over/Under currently set at 9.5
-Injuries for Cubs also hurts offensive production.
-The four times these teams have met up ¾ have been 11 runs, BUT! Cain and Marquis faced one another July 1st with Giants winning 2-1.
-Literally all or nothing against the Cubs with Cain as he’ll shut ‘em completely down or give up the massive 6 or 7 runs.
-Marquis is pretty steady all-time versus the Giants.
-Giants have lost four in a row, giving up an average of six runs a night and scoring only six total in four games.
-When the Cubbies get good pitching the offence almost always puts up a six-spot.
-Cubs are an awesome 35-11 at home VS Giants who are a not bad three games under .500 on the road.
-Also if you have it available at your sportsbook, I’d bet that they WILL! Score a run in the first inning. The last 7/10 starts combined for Cain and Marquis at least one run has scored in the 1st inning including their last head to head matchup July 1st, now how’s that for a stat.

-Toronto with Doc on the hill are favored at -120 as the Yankees Joba will be better prepared to face the Jays Ace. No more pitch counts for chamberlain, “here’s the ball and go still one big fella”.
-The Total looks to be set at 7.5, which is low but with two studs on the hill, I can see why, but the Jays are hitting with all the momentum of back-to back walk off winners.
-Yanks come into this one five games up on the resurgent Jays.
-Both pitchers have gone over 9 runs allowed in 4 of last six combined.
-Halladay is solid but not invincible as he relies heavily on the defense behind him.
-Now Vernon Wells and McGowan are OUT, with Hill and Stewart also out, the team will need help from all spots.
-Jays VS Yanks in ’08 has only gone over 7.5 2/6 tries.
-Halladay has face NY twice this year and the Jays have only given up three runs each time but are 1-1 with Doc.
-Chamberlain was on a short leash and pitch count last time out, foolishly blurted to the media as Jays batters were painfully patient as Joba’s count rose and he quickly excited giving way to the pen and a Jays 9-3win.
-Yanks last 4/5 have gone under the 7.5 total, while the Jays have gone over their last five, by a lot.
-In the last matchup with Joba-Doc, Vernon Wells was out for that one also, so the effect may not be huge in this game.
-Joba Chamberlain being a former reliever wants to start well and Halladay usually goes deep into -ballgames before giving up his usual 2-3 runs. So look into first inning scoring as a NO bet!
-I am also contemplating with the Jays and their comebacks that a small sprinkle of a bet may be worth a half-fulltime bet of NYY ahead after 5 innings and Toronto to WIN.

-The battle of the winless teams, so we know something’s got to give.
-This spread is at -2.5 and the Total at 48.5
-The over/ under is 1-2 pts high, but we’ll see if it is bettable(yup creating words yo!).
-BC has a huge edge in their last ten meetings, but last year both lost to each other on their home field.
-I do believe that the Lions have lost to the better competition in their two outings in ’08.
-The public is heavily betting on the BC Lions with over 60% of the vote/ bettors.
-Milt Stegall may be available come game time.
-I am trying to get a feel for the total and think I have it as the most they score is a 27-21 game making the 0.5 huge. I’ll take it.
BET Winnipeg Blue Bombers to WIN -2.5
BET the UNDER -48.5

Also the Total is at 11? Wow Under all the way today boys and girls. Also sprinkled on the Half-full with a Tie/Jays score.
