Davenport is back in tennis world after almost one year pause. Lindsay Davenport made two pretty comfortable wins in Indonesia. In first round she eliminated Eleni Danilidou 6:2 6:2 and in second Julie Ditty 6:1 6:4. She perform pretty well, but still Danilidou and Ditty are not her class. Match against Jelena Jankovic will be her real test.
Jelena Jankovic is first seeded in Bali and she started tournament from second round beating Dellacqua 6:4 6:4. Jankovic is in good form this season . At every tournament she is at quarters at least , but often she is in semis and finals. I think Jankovic has great motivation to win Bali because this is a chance for her to come closer to Kuznetsova on WTA No.2. Kuznetsova won Bali in previous season but this year she is not on tournament , so it is a great chance for Serbian player to cut points difference. Jankovic will be even more motivated to make her first win against Davenport as in previous 3 encounters Jelena took only one set. IMO best chance for her to make first win against American.
