Palace is in 7 matches winless row and they are very low on the table . This is very unusual for this team and if they continue with bad results they could easily drop to relegation zone. On last match they are defeated at home by Stoke 0:1. Palace was better team most of the match , they have more chances but unfortunately they conceived a goal . Red alert in team. This match is very important for them . Team preparations was at high level whole week . They trained more than usual to prepare themselves best possible for match. This match is six pointers because Barnsley have just 3 points less than Palace and that’s why importance of today’s game is so big. They don’t have squad problems . New goalkeeper Turner ( on loan from Everton) should make debut . Palace’s goalkeeper Kiraly is on loan in West Ham.
Barnsley is just one place above last team in league and have 15 points. They have bad results as well . On last match they lost against Birmingham 2:0 , week before they’ve won against Leeds 3:2 , but Leeds is also very poor team in league. For today they have big blow. Best striker Richards is injured and he will not play today . So, in this situation I don’t believe they can take anything in this match .
Palace is in must win situation and today have best opportunity to break loosing row. All in team are aware of significance of this match. Stadium will probably be full as whole week there were numerous appeals for fans to come and help Palace to win. At the end Palace is much bigger name in English football and for me is unthinkable they could go lower on table. So, Crystal Palace to win .Medium stakes.
