New picks for Sunday!

May 4th 2008 11:06
After picking successfully this end of week and Saturday, going 11-3. I am releasing my picks for Sunday, May 4th.

EPL
Liverpool v Manchester City
Liverpool

-Players would like to give a good showing for Manager Erikson of Man City, but will it be enough?
-Liverpool's last home league game, so they'll put out there best.
-A draw last time played, but @ city

BET Liverpool to WIN

NBA
( 14.5) ATL @ BOS
Celtics
courtesy of espn

-The Hawks surprising all with there effort against the #1 side.
-Atlanta will fight until the end, so do not dis pare if they get down early, games 7's are crazy!
-I will take the points and also the over of plus 190 as they have always gone over.

BET Atlanta Hawks to COVER plus 14.5pts

BET the OVER plus 190pts

Comments
bringit998-> Boston can't dominate the season like they did and bow down to the hawks. Boston wins, but not by more than 10

mww131-> I wouldn't bet three bills on this game, because despite the Celtics winning all three games at home by an average of 22 or so points, the Hawks are due to have a big game.

turboet->boston is going to win . By 14 , up in air, anybody's guess.

MLB
CWS @ TOR (-175)
Toronto Blue Jays

-Hefty price to pay to take the Jays, but wouldn't take the -1.5 runs as this one'll be close.
-The Jays have their ace on the hill and do not be discouraged by his 2-4 record.
-I will take the Jays to win 4-2, so also take the under.

BET Toronto Blue Jays to WIN -175

BET the UNDER -8 runs

I didn't bet on soccer for a long time so I will try my luck in this Euro 2008 qualifications.

Cyprus - Wales

Cyprus is the team who play very good at home ground and I think they have good chances to stay unbeaten against Wales. Cyprus will be without midfielder Alexandrou on this match but hey will welcome back Okkas, Konstantinou and Anoleftis who could help the team in offense. Wales comes after big win in Slovakia 2:5 and they are favorites in this match. For Wales there will not be Koumas in the squad which could make some problems for Wales . In the first match Wales were better at home 3:1 but I have feeling they will not win this one. The most probable bet in my opinion is draw and I will back this outcome. Greeks ( Cypriot Greeks too) are always dangerous at home and I think they will take one point out of this match. Best odds for X are at unibet, bettson and Bwin , 3.30.

Poland - Kazakhstan

Poland is in good situation to make their first Europeans Championship appearance , however they must win upcoming fixtures and try not to lose against Serbia on road. But although it looks nice on the paper I believe they must have big pressure to make historical debut. Sometimes it could cause serious problems for the team. Poland will be without Golanski and Blaszczykowskog and Kosowski is back in the squad. Kazakhstan is certainly at least class below home squad but they don't have any pressure on this match. In the first match Kazakhs lost at home 0:1 so evidently they could fight with Poland. Kazakhstan is very tough team and I expect strong defense from the beginning. If they stop Poland in the first 20-30 minutes I believe they have chances to stay in 2 AH. Poland Is big favorite but I doubt they will win with more than 2 goals , I hope they will win again by one. So, my pick is Kazakhstan AH 2, 2.07 @ 10bet.

Italy - Georgia

Italy is big favorite against Georgians. They need to win this match in order to stay in race for the EURO 2008. However, they will be with one eye on Scotland match as they have just one point less than first placed Scotland. I think Italy will not push to hard to humiliate Georgians and they will probably be satisfied with the simple win as 3 points are the most important. Georgians don't have motive to fight but they will certainly do their best to make best possible result. I expect defensive play from the very beginning from them but still it wouldn't be sufficient for a single point. Italy won previous 3 games all by 2 goals difference. I will try my luck with Italy to win by 2 goals once more time. Odds are great , 4.05 @ Bwin, but take it with low stakes.

Armenia - Serbia

Armenia showed solid strenght in this qualifications especially at home where they've tottaly surprised Poland and also drew with Portugal and Finland . Definitely not so easy team to beat as odds around 1.40 suggest. They cannot match quality of the squad with Serbia but their adavntage will be pitch in terrible conditions , so don't expect some beautiful football at this game. Serbia must win all 4 remaining matches in order to make appearance at EURO 2008. They are not so absolute favorites as they have lot of problems against teams from this part of the Europe in recent years. I still remmember embarrassing defeat in Azerbeijan in the last qualifications and even better defeat against Kazakhstan in the present battle. However, I believe Serbia will find the strenght to win this important game, I'm from Serbia I cannot think any different , but still I think Serbia will not win by more than 1 goal. So, my pick is Serbia to win by 1 goal, 3.65 @ Bwin, small stakes.

Portugal - Serbia

September 12th 2007 01:16
At the beginning of qualifications Portugal and Serbia were considered as favorites to take position one and two in group A. But currently Portugal is on 3rd place one point above Serbia. Leaders Poland and Finland had one match more and 4 i.e 2 points more than Portugal. So, at least 2nd place is still an option for Portuguese and Serbian national squad.

Portugal are expecting this match after draw at home with Poland, while Serbia had disappointing 0:0 with Finland. In my opinion Portugal is overpriced today because Serbia is a team which could beat almost any team in Europe. Serbia didn't have good results in last two games but Zigic missed those matches and in Portugal he should start from the beginning. Yes, there are more stars in Portuguese selection but it looks they are not compatible in team. I see real chances for Serbia to stay unbeaten as they have quality to match with home team.

Serbian National Squad

Probable teams:

PORTUGAL (4-2-3-1): Ricardo; Miguel, Jorge Andrade, Fernando Meira and Paulo Ferreira; Petit and Maniche ; Cristiano Ronaldo, Deco and Quaresma ; Nuno Gomes

SERBIA (4-4-2): Stojkovic; Rukavina, Ivanovic, Vidic and Dragutinovic; Stankovic, Jankovic , Krasic and Kovacevic; Žigic and Pantelic.

My pick is Serbia AH 1, with nice odds around 2. WON

Portugal - Serbia 1:1

Cagliari - Juventus

September 2nd 2007 01:23
Cagliari made nice result in the opening match beating Napoli in Naples 0:2. It’s maybe bit surprising result but it seems Napoli lack quality to compete equally with other teams in Serie A. Cagliari won then mainly because of Foggia great performances and it seems he could help lot Cagliari this season. Cagliari will try to get something against Juve too but it will be much harder task than one week ago. Cagliari is almost complete as only Marruocco and Bizera are injured players.

Probable: Fortin, Ferri, Lopez, Bianco, Del Grosso, Foggia, Parola, Conti, Fini, Larrivey, Matri

Juventus showed extraordinary performances in match against Livorno last week. Del Piero and friends trashed Livorno 1:5 and boosted their morale at the beginning of the season. They had disappointing results in the pre season fixtures but competitive matches are totally different. Juventus have strong squad, in my opinion, capable to fight for highest place this season. Few new players will need more time to accommodate to Juventus style of play but in the meantime I expect good old players like Nedved or Trezeguet will do their job. Juve is still without Birindelli, Marchionni and Grygera while Camoranesi is back in squad and it’s expected to play at least part of the game.

Probable: Buffon, Salihamidzic, Andrade, Criscito, Chiellini, Nocerino, Almiron, Zanetti, Nedved, Trezeguet, Del Piero.

Cagliari is always hard opponent for Juventus, but I believe former champions will win this match and prove they could fight for the best position in Serie A.

My pick is Juventus to win ( 1.80 @ interwetten). WON

Lyon - Le Mans

September 1st 2007 15:20
9th placed Lyon will have a chance tonight to extend their winning row against 8th Le Mans. Lyon started this season far from expectations and after few rounds they were near bottom. Last few matches suggest they are improving form. In the midweek , Lyon made their first away win this season against Sochaux 1:2 and that could be nice overture for tonight match. Bad results at the beginning of the competition are mostly caused by great number of injured players. For Lyon, Cris, Coupet, Ben Arfa and Fred are still out while Juninho is doubtful .

Their oponents today, Le Mans, strted this sesaon in great manner winning first three games in competition. But after that they drew with Lille and lost to Monaco and in the midweek aginst PSG. Certainly it must have some impact on players morale. It looks they have lot of problems in defence and that could be used by Lyon attackers. Le Mans is team with abilities to stay this season in league 1, but IMO their current position is a bit to high. Le Mans is without Samassa and Paulo Andre, also compared to beginning of the season they are without striker Grafite who will play for Wolfsburg from now on.

Like I said I think Lyon will extend their winning strike , so Lyon to win could be a banker bet for tonight. My pick Lyon AHC -1 VOID pays bit more, 1.85 @ gamebookers.

Lyon - St.Etienne

August 26th 2007 01:47
Current champions and current No 14 in French 1st league Lyon have very important match this weekend against all time rivals St. Etienne. Lyon won just one match this season and this is very poor result for team with title ambitions. In last two rounds Toulouse and Lorient were better than Lyon and I believe they are greatly motivated to back on winning ways. It will be somewhat easier for them as Kim Kallstrom is back in squad after suspension but Govou is still injured.

Belgium - Serbia

August 20th 2007 22:06
Belgium will welcome Serbia in Euro 2008 qualifications in one match which don’t have big result importance for them. Belgium is laying on 5th place with 7 points out of 8 games and don’t have any chance to qualify for European championship. They play very poor this qualifications wining only against Armenia and Azerbeijan , two weakest sides in the qualification group A. Beside that, they drew with Kazakhstan at home ,lose both matches against Portugal , one against Finland and Serbia. In that match in Serbia , Belgium showed mediocrity performances and they could lose more than simple 1:0.
Belgium will be without defender Van Damme and midfielder Clement who are injured.

Vitoria Guimaraes - Setubal

August 18th 2007 23:42

This is the the first round of Portuguesse league. Vitoria Guimaraes is a very strong team at home field every year and I think this season will be even harder for any visitors. Reason is always great support from the home fans but also reinforced team at the beginning of the new season. They have practically new team compared to last season when they competed in 2nd league , but it’s normal because they must have more quality for Portuguese Superliga. New players in squad are Radanovic, Andrezinho, Luciano, João Alves, Fajardo, Alan and Miljan and all should start from the beginning of the match.

Reading - Chelsea

August 15th 2007 16:55
Reading made biggest surprise last weekend taking one point against champions Manchester Utd. But on that match Kitson received red card so he will not be in squad today. Beside him, Lita is also out so Reading will be without real scoring power today. They will try to defend result from the beginning and I expect very defensive performances from them with possible counter attacks , off course if Chelsea players allow something like that.

Reading: (from) Hahnemann, Federici, Murty, de la Cruz, Ingimarsson, Duberry, Bikey, Shorey, Seol, Oster, Gunnarsson, Harper, Cisse, Fae, Hunt, Convey, Doyle, Long, Cox

The Community Shield

August 5th 2007 11:40
Chelsea - Manchester Utd.

is one pre- season match which don’t have big result value in England , but with Chelsea and Manchester on different sides it means that will be small war today on Wembley. Also, it will be a match between two great strategists Mourinho and Ferguson and neither of them don’t want to lose this game

Crvena Zvezda - Levadia

July 31st 2007 23:48
Crvena Zvezda is probably best team from Serbia. They’ve changed team compared to last season and there no Ailton , Georgiev, Djokic and Purovic in squad this season. But, they brought few good players , defender Bronowicki from Legia W, Lucas from Boavista , Mauricio Alejandro Molina, Argentinean Barcos and Salas from Ecuador. Those players have quality enough at least for this second round of qualifications. In pre season matches Zvezda didn’t have particularly good results , but there was lot players in rotation on those matches and main point was to choose best players for season matches. Zvezda have great tradition in Europe and in last years they were always in third round of qualifications so I can’t see any reason why this season should be anything different.

Probable starting 11> Ivan Randjelovic, Dusan Basta, Đordje Tutoric, Ibrahim Gueye, Dusan Andjelkovic, Segundo Castillo, Dejan Milovanovic, Joao Nuno Lucas, Nenad Milijas, Ognjen Koroman and Hernan Barcos

FC Pyunik - Derry City

July 24th 2007 23:25
First leg match one week ago finished with goalless draw 0:0. Derry City was better team most of the time and practically they didn’t allow a single goal chance for FC Pyunik. Derry dominated especially in the second half of the match and only luck saved FC Pyunik from defeat.

BATE Borisov - Apoel N.

July 23rd 2007 23:40
Apoel deservedly won first match in Nicosia 2:0. Cypriots showed much more aggression in that match and had big help from Belarus players who made numerous mistakes in game. Now, Apoel have nice advantage before match in Belarus.

BATE is in the middle of the domestic league and that could be slight advantage compared to Apoel. They have good results in Belarus and in last match they’ve won against Dnepr 2:0. Of course this match is something different , but I believe there are no big difference in quality between Cypriot and Belarus league. BATE will be without veteran Anton Sakharov but he will probably be replaced with Hagush who didn’t play in the first leg because of visa problems
